This modification gives you possibility to overwrite image navigation links (previous, current, next, permalink) with Clean URLs (Search Engine Friendly URLs).
To work properly it needs in head section code with your blog URL:
This modification also requires Apache with PHP as module and .htaccess file support.
I.e. you can have links like this: http://foobar.com/143/peacock/
The download contains some new files, as well as the old and modified Pixelpost files. Just extract the file over an existing Pixelpost 1.7.1 installation.
Works great for image pages, but leaves the browse and about pages with the old style urls. It would be perfect if could tidy those up to something like http://foobar.com/browse/ & http://foobar.com/about/
Thanks a lot, works perfectly. I integrated it into the Simplicious template, and made it work with the Google Sitemap generator addon. 5 stars for your addon :)
Thanks for working on a Mod like this, it's one of the bigget wishes I had for Pixelpost.
At first I didn't get it to work right. Probem was, I overlooked the accompanying .htaccess file, because the file is hidden in the Mac OS X Finder - shame on me.
Wow, finally Permalinks in my Pixelpost Gallery!
The only thing that would make it super-perfect is if it could completely get rid of the numbering system or change it, so that a deleted photo wouldn't cut a whole in the numbers sequence. But this would probably mean too drastic changes to the underlying system.
